Ohio Teachers at South High
August 13, 2024 at South High
At South High in Youngstown, home to America Makes, educators gathered for a 3D printing workshop—the first teacher cohort in eight years. Teachers from Cincinnati, Westlake, Jackson-Milton, and Washington Court House earned the New Collar Network FDM 3D Educator Badge through KCTCS and Somerset Community College, empowering them to teach design and innovation.
Thanks to Bryant Youngblood Jr. of Pantheon Education for championing 3D printing in education and to Alex Hertzer, Executive Director of MVMC Mahoning Valley Manufacturers Coalition, for advancing workforce development. Teachers visited OH WOW! Children’s Center for Science & Technology and America Makes for industry insights, with thanks to Zane Ross and Ben Morrow for the Additive Manufacturing tour.
This initiative sparks curiosity and innovation in Ohio’s classrooms and communities.
